BEACON College Internship Program
Are you a Business, Public Administration or Management Information Systems student looking for an internship?BEACON’s College Internship Program seeks qualified, interested and energetic undergraduate and graduate students from local North Carolina four-year colleges and universities to participate in the HR/Payroll Initiative.
As an intern for the HR/Payroll project, you will work on one of North Carolina’s largest infrastructure projects as you help to build the human resources and payroll environment for the next generation of North Carolina State Government.
Desired Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; good working knowledge of MS Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; strong ability to grasp vague concepts and create a clear message; ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to contribute to decision-making; experience or interest in state government.Education and Experience
Junior, senior, or graduate level classification from a local North Carolina four-year college or university, preferably with a major in business, communications, public administration, finance or management information systems.Work Schedules
During the summer semester, students will work 40 hours per week. During fall and spring semesters, internships are part-time and flexible around students’ schedules.Salary
Positions are paid based on qualifications and experience. Benefits are not provided.Location
